The John “Jack” Nixon Endowment for Journalism Excellence honors Jack’s 45-year career as the “Voice of the Aggies,” during which he broadcast more than 500 Aggie football and 1,000 Aggie basketball games.
Jack began his NMSU broadcasting career in 1976, and his many accolades include Sportscaster of the Year awards and induction into the New Mexico Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame and the NMSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
