Academic Schools and Centers

From the operating room to the runway, the kitchen to the courtroom, MDC prepares students for the careers South Florida runs on.

Future nurses train at the Benjamín León School of Nursing; pilots and aviation professionals take off through the Eig-Watson School of Aviation; and tomorrow's chefs, hoteliers, and designers train at the Miami Culinary Institute, Miami Hospitality Center, and Miami Fashion Institute.

Business, engineering, architecture, education, science, and public safety all have a home too — through schools like the Miguel B. Fernandez Family School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation, the School of Engineering, Technology and Design, and the School of Justice, Public Safety, and Law Studies, among others.

Beyond the classroom, programs like the Idea Center, MAGIC, and MDC Works connect students to innovation, entertainment, and career opportunities, while Changemaking and Single Stop make sure no student has to choose between staying enrolled and meeting their basic needs.
