Orange & Black Give Back: A Week of Giving is Mercer’s annual, online-based fundraising event to increase awareness, support and donor participation for the University. It’s all about participation. Help us increase support for much needed student scholarships, research opportunities, service-learning experiences, academic resources, and campus life. Did you know that a new 2026 tax provision allows individuals who take the standard deduction to claim an additional "above-the-line" deduction for cash gifts to qualified nonprofits, such as Mercer (up to $1,000 for individuals and $2,000 for joint filers)? When you make a gift to Mercer, you may eligible to receive this added tax benefit. Be sure to consult with your tax advisor to understand how your support can make an impact for students while also benefiting you.
