Gifts to Bridge the Gap: From College to Career contribute to...
Help Support Student Internships
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development is focused on bridging the gap between employers hiring those with prior experience, and students not having the financial means to move, drive, and dress for internships in addition to their college tuition and living expenses. With your generous gift, we can invest in our students’ opportunities now, with the promise that they will pay off in fulfilling careers and becoming successful MC alumni well into the future.
Marietta College wants to ensure all our students have access to internships and get a head start on the job market.
- Last year, donors helped nearly 20 students accept summer internships, providing roughly 25% of their anticipated start-up costs, including relocation or the first month of rent and groceries.
- This year we’re looking for your help to fund half of the expenses for every student who accepts a summer internship. We could literally get our students half way to their career goal before they even graduate!
- We often tell prospective students to consider the return on investment of a Marietta College degree; according to Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce, the cost of their four years here will earn them more than $1,000,000 over the next forty.

Your donation to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development will have double the impact this Day of Giving, thanks to Trustee Danielle Cisler '05. She's matching gifts, dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500!
