Gifts to ARC Student Academic Coaching Program contribute to...
Academic Resource Center
We need your help to grow a Student Academic Coaching program that develops upperclassmen into well-trained, certified peer mentors. The impact of peer-to-peer academic success coaching is strongly connected to student persistence, success, and retention. This student-led program will strengthen our existing tutoring programs, create a strong academic community, and give our student coaches invaluable experience to use in the competitive job market.
We know academic success on campus is crucial to the student experience, and with your donation, we can assure that every student who steps in the classroom is prepared to succeed.
- Funds would be used to certify the ARC professional staff in order to provide training/certification for the student staff (train the trainer model) in addition to the recruitment, training and development, and payment of the student staff.
- In turn, Student Academic Coaches, using their training and newly-purchased technology to engage students, will provide instruction and practice to help them develop and strengthen personalized study strategies, time management, and effective exam preparation skills.
Every advocate who inspires a gift will be entered into a raffle for a free stay during Homecoming, thanks to the generosity of Fairfield by Marriott, Marietta
