Macalester Football Family & Friends,

Our offseason discussions as a program have focused on aligning our daily actions ("the dirt") with our long-term vision ("the clouds"). I recently learned that redwood trees, known for their majestic size, actually have very shallow root structures. While they can grow over 300 feet tall, their roots extend only about 10 feet beneath the surface. Counterintuitively, they spread far and wide horizontally, intertwining with their neighbors. Put simply, redwoods are able to reach such unimaginable heights because of the support they receive from those around them.

This is why we need you in the dirt with us on Give to Macalester Day! We rely heavily on the generosity of friends, family, and alumni to enhance our student-athlete experience, execute our recruitment strategy, and retain our assistant coaches. Your support will strengthen the foundation that propels Macalester Football to new heights in the coming years. And don’t worry – we’ll keep taking the stairs on the way up.

We are aiming to raise $30,000 (see examples below) from 150 unique donors on Give to Macalester Day this year. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us reach our goals! One Life, One Blood.
