Support Macalester Club Nordic!
Macalester Club Nordic is a welcoming, inclusive team open to skiers of all abilities and backgrounds. Skiing is a fantastic way to embrace Minnesota winters, stay active, and try something new! Thanks to our supply of skis, boots, and poles, club members can borrow gear free of charge and choose between classic or skate skiing.
We practice five times a week, rotating between Theodore Wirth Park, Hyland Lake Park Reserve, and Battle Creek Regional Park—venues that make artificial snow when natural snowfall is scarce, ensuring we can ski all season long.
How Your Support Helps
Donations allow Macalester Nordic to remain accessible to all students, regardless of financial background, connecting them with Minnesota’s incredible outdoor environment and rich Nordic culture. Specifically, funds raised will support:
- Trail Passes & Race Fees – Giving skiers the opportunity to participate in fun citizen races like the City of Lakes Loppet (Minneapolis) and Book Across the Bay (Ashland, WI).
- American Birkebeiner Participation – In February, we took four skiers to North America’s largest ski race, a 50km event in Wisconsin that attracts over 10,000 racers and 25,000 spectators! Your donations will help more athletes experience this incredible event in future seasons.
- Gear Maintenance & Waxing Supplies – Ensuring our skiers have well-maintained, high-quality equipment to perform their best on the trails.
We deeply appreciate your generosity—whether through a donation or simply spreading the word about our team! Thank you for helping us continue to grow and provide an amazing Nordic skiing experience for all.
Sincerely,
Mac Nordic Captains
Everett Dalton, Miles Rakov, and Ellie Sablak
