Support the Center for Global Engagement and your donation will help Lancers push themselves to engage as citizens and students around the world.
Your gift to the Center will assist international and domestic students with scholarships for global study and professional development, provide emergency loans to international students whose circumstances change after they arrive at Longwood; and offer support for faculty and staff who wish to engage in collaborative teaching and learning with international colleagues.
In addition to guiding Study Abroad and International Student/Scholar services, the Center for Global Engagement supports international leadership organizations, cultural adjustment for inbound, outbound, and returning students, faculty and staff development, advising on scholarship opportunities and prestigious awards, and fostering cultural awareness through campus wide programming.
Global Lancers can and will do their part to promote intercultural learning and understanding – even more critical in these days of significant global issues. Former Global Lancers have served in the Peace Corps, worked in Embassies, taught English abroad, and worked in international business and finance.
