Clean Virginia Waterways, a program of Longwood University, has served Longwood, the Farmville Community, and ALL of Virginia since 1995. We enlist more than 7000 volunteers every year in cleaning our rivers & the ocean. Our volunteers have removed more than 4.8 million pounds of litter from our waterways! Volunteers also collect valuable data we use to reduce plastic pollution and marine debris.
We are a state leader in preventing plastic pollution in our rivers & ocean, and we depend on supporters like YOU!
Longwood students serve as volunteers and interns where they learn to be leaders in their community, and share their passion for the environment.
We rely on donations and sponsorships to protect our oceans and make our waterways cleaner and safer for all.
Please support our research and outreach programs by donating to Clean Virginia Waterways of Longwood University!
