Gifts to Challender and Lynch Awards contribute to:
Dr. Robert Lynch and Dr. Craig Challender have each contributed decades of dedicated teaching, service, and commitment to their students and to the Longwood community as a whole. Upon their retirement, both professors are being honored with awards in their names, which will be distributed to students showing exceptional qualities in the areas of literature and creative writing, respectively. Our campaign aims to raise funds to support these awards so that future students will have the opportunity to be recognized for their academic excellence, and so that Dr. Lynch and Dr. Challender's legacy of passion for their discipline will be continued in the department.
