At Lehigh University, our Therapy Dog and K9 Programs are at the heart of fostering a strong, compassionate, and supportive campus community. Our two beloved therapy dogs, Grace and Scout, play a vital role in promoting mental health, reducing stress, and building meaningful connections between students, faculty, and staff. Whether it’s offering comfort during finals, welcoming new students, or simply brightening someone’s day with a wagging tail, Grace and Scout remind us of the power of kindness and connection.
Our K9 unit continues to play a vital role in campus safety and community outreach. LUcy, our longtime K9 partner, proudly served the Lehigh community for more than eight years and has now entered a well-deserved retirement after a distinguished career protecting the University and fostering positive engagement across campus.
Carrying forward that legacy, Clare, a Labrador Retriever, is now fully certified and actively serving as Lehigh’s K9, providing protection to the University for numerous events throughout the year and during active threat situations. While certified, Clare’s effectiveness relies on ongoing and advanced training to maintain operational readiness and excellence. This continued training is a significant and necessary investment, with annual costs exceeding $5,000, to ensure the highest standard of service, safety, and security for our community.
Goal - We're aiming to raise $5,000 to support Lehigh University’s Therapy Dog and K9 Programs. Your contribution will help cover essential needs such as veterinary care, training, and supplies for Grace, Scout, LUcy, and Clare. These remarkable dogs play a vital role in enhancing campus safety, providing comfort, and fostering meaningful connections with our students, faculty, and staff.
Your generosity ensures the sustainability and growth of these impactful programs, directly supporting the well-being of our campus community and strengthening the partnership between Lehigh students and Campus Safety
