Your generous donation will support to efforts and initiatives of Lehigh University’s Office of International Affairs (OIA), which prepares students and other stakeholders to engage the world, address global challenges and live lives of meaning.
We do so by fostering an understanding of one's individual and interconnected positions in the world, and cultivating an open-minded approach to the world that encourages respect, curiosity, and engagement with diverse perspectives.
Your donation will support such programs as study abroad, with the International Student Assistance Fund, Passport to Success, and other campus initiatives.
Today, the work of OIA is as important as ever as international student enrollment nationwide and participation in education abroad programs have returned to almost pre-pandemic levels. At Lehigh, over 1,000 international students from 82 countries enrolled at Lehigh during the 2023-24 academic year, including 578 graduate students and 425 graduates. More than 40% of Lehigh undergraduates have had some sort of education abroad experience, making us 27th in the nation for percentage of student participation
The work of OIA is consistent with Lehigh’s strategic plan, "Inspiring the Future Makers," which offers a vision for how the university can broaden its global perspective and impact, specifically challenging us to collaborate in order to find solutions that “drive societal change and advance experiential learning and real-world application.” We appreciate your support in continuing this important work!
