Gifts to Lehigh University ROTC contribute to...
The Army ROTC program at Lehigh University is one of the three original programs in the country with its inception in 1919. While the program underwent many changes over its 105 years, the Steel Battalion has continuously produced thousands of exceptional officers for our national defense who have gone on to serve in every major conflict since WWII. These alumni take the extraordinary leadership abilities developed by the program and utilize them not only in their military careers but also in the civilian sectors of engineering, business, arts, public service, and more, leaving a lasting impact on their communities.
As the program continues to grow, more funds are needed to support cadet opportunities. Any funds donated will be used to support our ongoing military training, civic engagement events, professional development courses, and the acquisition of training aids to support cadets' future development. Please join us this Giving Day in helping support our 105 years of leadership and excellence!
Steel Battalion cadets are more than just students, they are NCAA student-athletes, Fraternity and Sorority Presidents, Student Organization Officers, award-winning researchers in numerous fields, Fulbright semi-finalists, interns in the intelligence community, global cultural ambassadors through various study abroad programs, and much more--all while training 10+ hours a week to become Army officers.
Today, the Steel Battalion is stronger than ever. In 2023, this battalion was recognized as #1 of 42 programs in the Northeast, and one of the top 8 programs in the nation (out of over 273). Every year, over 80% of our senior cadets rank in the nation's top 15-20% as Distinguished Military Graduates. Lehigh ROTC regularly qualifies to compete in the annual Sandhurst International Military Skills competition held at Westpoint, where we are one of eight ROTC programs.
Each year, cadets travel to attend Army Airborne, Air Assault, Sapper, Jungle, and Mountain Warfare Schools. Cadets travel to several countries in exchange programs and participate in internships with public and private government organizations like the NSA and FBI. Today, the over 75 Cadets that make up our program engage in our leadership development curriculum, and rigorous on and off-campus training, all designed to produce well-rounded, morally, mentally, and physically fit leaders of character who serve their nation and communities with great credit to their alma mater.
Please donate today and be a part of this program's great legacy and help us continue to grow!
