The Health & Wellness Center supports the mission of the university. We are dedicated to working in collaboration with our campus colleagues to optimize the physical and emotional well-being of our students.
The mission of the Health & Wellness Center is to provide students with:
- High quality, compassionate medical care
- Non-judgmental care that respects individual differences in a confidential environment
- The knowledge and ability to treat themselves for minor illnesses and injuries
In addition to evaluating and treating illnesses and injuries, the Health & Wellness Center also offers various services to Lehigh students such as reproductive and sexual health services, immunizations, lab services, treatment of medical conditions and physical exams, amongst others. We host sexual health testing clinics multiple times a semester, and collaborate with various partners across campus to provide health and sexual education and programming across campus. We house a Student Resource Center/Pantry on the 3rd floor of Johnson Hall that provides on/off campus health and wellbeing resources, hygiene items, COVID tests, hot/cold packs, condoms, some OTC medications, along with some food items.
Funding will support the Student Resource Center and Wellness Wagon with providing health-related items to students. The Wellness Wagon (out of the Health Advancement & Prevention Strategies office, and is a Peer Health Advisor initiative) is an extension of the SRC on wheels. Taken out 2-3 times per week, we meet the students where they are at with resources related to health - informational pamphlets for the HWC, University Counseling & Psychological Services (UCPS), Hungry Hawks, along with health and well-being items such as oral hygiene products, sexual health products, menstrual products, Covid tests, tissues, pregnancy tests, and so much more! Funding will also support various clinics we host throughout the semester; these clinics are free for all students: Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing, HIV and Syphilis testing clinics.
