Therapy Dogs

In 2022, the Lehigh University Police Department initiated a Therapy Dog Program with the aim of providing comfort and support to the Lehigh University community. Two Labrador Retrievers, Grace and Scout, are cherished members of the Lehigh community. Both dogs are certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, a non-profit organization that certifies therapy dogs in the US and Canada.

The Therapy Dog Program is intended to serve those who require comfort and a sense of well-being, victims and certain witnesses of criminal incidents, as well as those who have experienced emotional tragedies. The dogs are present at many Lehigh events, such as Move-In, Family Weekend, Lehigh/Lafayette Weekend, and Commencement, as well as individual office and club events across campus.

The dogs have already proven to be an invaluable resource to the Lehigh students and community, and with your support, the program can only get better.
