Help Jubilee Unlock $50,000 in Challenge Gifts!

When you donate to Jubilee, you will help unlock $50,000 in challenge gifts already pledged to Jubilee Giving Day, raising a total $100,000 for Jubilee’s programs and services!

We need your help. Jubilee had to cancel all of our special events in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID-19, resulting in a significant loss of income for Jubilee’s programs and services. At the same time, Jubilee had to hire more staff to help tutor and mentor our students during virtual learning at Jubilee. That is why we are reaching out to you today, and asking for your support for Jubilee Giving Day.

Your gift will make it possible for Jubilee to continue providing virtual and after-school learning through the Youth Educational Support (YES) Program, help local disadvantaged children attend Jubilee’s Summer Enrichment Camp, and mentor local youth through the Young Men’s Mentoring and Girls Empowered for More (GEM) Programs. 

Jubilee never closed during COVID-19. As an essential service, we remained open and serving our children and community in a health-conscious capacity. When Lynchburg City Schools reopened virtually in August, many of Jubilee’s children began attending the Jubilee Academy, which educates children ages 6 – 11 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays with in-person instruction and tutoring at Jubilee. The Jubilee Academy currently has 47 children enrolled, and will continue until our children can return to school five days a week. Children ages 12 – 18 are also coming to Jubilee for our After-School Tutoring Program from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM daily.
