Gifts to Mars Rover Team contribute to...

The Mars Rover Team at Johns Hopkins University is a new student organization that fosters an environment where students from different disciplines collaborate and use their skills to create a functional, space-ready vehicle.
Our team is planning to participate in the international University Rover Challenge (URC). Through this competitive STEM project, our members will be exposed to the fields of robotics, space, and engineering outside of traditional classroom environments.
Since this is our second year, we are building a completely new rover from the ground up! The team has developed a base that can traverse various environments and identify different types of soils and rocks, and is designing a five degree-of-freedom arm, a necessary component for competing at URC. In addition to enabling practical, hands-on engineering experience, your support will be used to invest in critical building materials and resources.
Here's how you can help:
- A $5 gift will cover the bolts and nuts to construct the rover's frame.
- A $10 gift will cover basic electronic components such as wires and connectors.
- A $25 gift will cover the filament to 3D print wheels and prototype parts.
- A $50 gift will cover sensors and cameras to collect data.
- A $100 gift will cover chemical tests to analyze soil samples.
- A $250 gift will cover a motor to drive the base and the arm of the rover.
Make your gift to support the Mars Rover Team at Johns Hopkins University today!
