Many of you likely benefited from financial aid fellowships established by alumni when you were students, and your reunion year is a great time to give back or pay it forward.

Class Initiatives:
Class of 2020 – In honor of the 5th reunion, the first celebrated at SAIS DC, the Class of 2020 is excited to support various funds across all three campuses. As a class that graduated during the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve identified the SAIS Student Emergency and Hardship Fund as their class initiative, though any gift to any fund is welcome. The SAIS Student Emergency and Hardship Fund supports students by offering them a chance to focus on achieving their academic goals despite temporary emergencies or financial barriers. Your gift can ensure that all students are thriving during their time at SAIS, despite unexpected emergencies! The Fund will provide students with access to essential funding to cover a variety of needs such as food insecurity, housing support, necessary household expenses, unexpected travel costs, loss of income, and more.
Class of 2015 – In honor of their 10th reunion, the class of 2015 has set an ambitious participation goal of 100 classmates giving to an area at SAIS that is most meaningful for them. Giving participation at any level makes a difference in the resources our class can come together to provide for current and future SAIS students. The Class of 2015 Committee has chosen the Summer Internship Fund as their class initiative, which supports students pursuing internships over the summer - many of which are unpaid. A gift to student internships or anywhere at SAIS will be counted toward your class goal!
Class of 2000 – In honor of their 25th reunion, the Class of 2000 aims to have 100 donors from the class. You are encouraged to make a meaningful gift to any fund at SAIS that means the most to you. Whether you support financial aid, invest in experiential learning opportunities, or give to class specific initiatives, your generosity will help our students to be well-prepared to lead on the global stage.
Class of 1975 – In honor of their 50th reunion, the Class of 1975 encourages their classmates to consider supporting SAIS through a meaningful gift towards an area on campus that means most to them. Gifts towards the Bologna Class of 1974 initiatives will also count toward your class participation goals.
Does your company offer corporate matching? Double your impact by taking advantage of your company’s matching program! Check with your Human Resources department to see if your company participates. If you have a matching gift coming in, please email saisdevelopment@jhu.edu to let us know so we can track the gift and make sure it is credited properly.
