On this global day of giving, join us in celebrating the extraordinary efforts underway at Henderson-Hopkins to promote the health and wellness of our students and community, and provide our students with the support they deserve.
Henderson-Hopkins is a Johns Hopkins partnership school located in East Baltimore near the Johns Hopkins Hospital, serving over 675 incredible pre-K through 8th grade students.
In an effort to promote health and wellness in our community, and provide our students with comprehensive support we have:
- Created a robust after school program that includes over 25 athletic teams and clubs, serving over 500 students annually. Programs include soccer, cheer, social justice, debate, flag football, basketball, chess, and more.
- Supported our teachers with resources and wellness programming so they can provide students with the learning materials and experiences to foster an excellent education.
- Partnered with the Maryland Food Bank to distribute 1.4 million pounds of food and counting to our families and community members. As of this year, more than 60,000 families have picked up healthy food and produce from our weekly food distribution.
While this is a great start, we know there is so much more work to do.
This Giving Tuesday I hope you will consider making a gift of any amount, which will help us sustain and expand our important work to promote health and wellness, and will bring us closer to our Giving Tuesday goal of $25,000.
100% of your gift will go directly to helping us continue to provide our students and community with needed health and wellness support.
