Gifts to Mechanical Engineering contribute to...
A Force for Innovation.
At Johns Hopkins Mechanical Engineering, we build systems and devices that define our world.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering remains on the cutting edge of discoveries in robotics and human-machine interaction, micro- and nano-scale engineered devices and materials, energy and the environment, aerospace and marine systems, and biology and medicine.
The department is committed to creating a stimulating intellectual environment. Our faculty members are actively engaged in both research and teaching programs—with problem solving at the heart of the department’s approach to education.
THIS YEAR, WE CHALLENGE YOU! Your gift will go even further—for every 10 donors that make a gift to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, we will unlock an additional $1,000.
Your gift can support enhanced student financial support, propel leading research, or back student design teams, whose ingenuity continues to shine as groups work to solve complex real-world problems.
Additionally, the department is working to establish funding for charitable and humanitarian projects for our capstone Senior Design program.
Last year, these funds supported the department’s ongoing partnership with Blind Industries & Services of Maryland (BISM), a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide meaningful career opportunities for the blind. This year, mechanical engineering seniors are working with BISM to design a system that will allow blind individuals to custom-design and manufacture their own canes.
We hope you will join in our efforts. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS! Make your gift to Mechanical Engineering today.
