The Department of Environmental Health and Engineering (EHE) is a collaborative hybrid program uniquely designed to lead pioneering research and promote technology translation for the next generation of problem solvers. This cross-divisional department builds on the strengths of the Whiting School’s former Geography and Environmental Engineering Department and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School’s Environmental Health Sciences Department.

THIS YEAR, WE CHALLENGE YOU! From now until May 5th, your gift will go even further—for every 10 donors that give to the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering, we will unlock an additional $1,000.
Your gift will support EHE’s accomplished faculty and visionary students, poised to use their broad and deep expertise to propel discovery and innovation through the following key initiatives:
- Sponsor student scholarships to attract and train the most talented environmental health scientists and engineers and public health leaders.
- Support faculty research to develop affordable means of protecting the health of underserved populations of the world.
- Provide needed funding for first-year, underrepresented minority graduate students. First-generation, low-income, LGBTQ, and minority students are often underrepresented in graduate schools.
