About

At Burroughs, athletics are about more than competition.

Athletics at Burroughs signifies teamwork, resilience, and physical & mental well-being. From the first practice to the final game, students develop lifelong skills as they learn to lead, to support one another, and to be role models for our community on and off the field.

Your support helps sustain a wide range of opportunities, from varsity teams that compete at the highest levels to intramural and developmental programs that welcome every student. It provides resources for our coaches, equipment, facilities, and the experiences that unite our community—Friday night lights, Blue and Gold Weekend traditions, and the friendships forged through sport.

When you give to Athletics, you ensure that every student can find their place, push their limits, and carry the lessons of teamwork and perseverance far beyond Burroughs.

Updates
Congrats to the six who signed LOI to compete at the NCAA Division I Level!

At Burroughs, our student-athletes lead with integrity, pursue excellence with purpose, and embody the spirit of learning and growth.

This week, the school celebrated six remarkable Bombers who signed their National Letters of Intent to continue competing at the NCAA Division I level: Sophie Buchowski (Yale University), Katy Chapman (University of Virginia), Moriyah Douglass (Texas Tech), Kate Logsdon (University of Virginia), Shaan Patel (Columbia University), and Reese Rafferty (Butler University).

We also celebrate Sheek Pearson (Marquette University) and Tristan Reed (Mississippi State University), who will also continue their athletic journeys at the Division I level.
