Awakening develops students’ artistic gifts for use in worship; deepens their passion for God; and awakens their hearts to glimpse a vision of their own leadership in the church.
Mission of Awakening: Building Emerging Worship Leaders
Vision of Awakening: Where God’s Spirit meets with a group of people in such a profound way that it opens their eyes to God’s activity in the world, renews and gives vision to their sense of purpose and calling, and marks their lives forever.
Funding on Day of Giving will be directed toward need-based scholarships and will help further develop Awakening.
- Since 2016, 423 young adults (high schoolers) from 18 states have attended Awakening
- 78% of Awakening alumni are serving the church full time, part time or as volunteers!
- 33% of the Awakening students have gone on to attend Hope College, and some who have graduated from Hope have gone on to seminary.
