A Message from Coach
Your gift will assist current and future Hanover women’s soccer players compete for HCAC championships, forge friendships that will last a lifetime, and provided opportunities for growth both on and off the field.
I’m also excited to announce that former HCWS assistant coach, Bryan Ruder and the Thomas and Sharon Ruder Foundation have pledged to match every donation during our campaign up to $25,000. Thanks to the generous support of Bryan and his family foundation, the impact of each individual donation will be “doubled”.
Your donation will enhance the student-athletes experience by:
- Help the program purchase the most current technology to support our players in all aspects of sports performance (game day, training, video analysis, weight room, nutrition).
- Support team building, educational, and mental health workshops that are an important part of our values and essential to providing a holistic college athletic experience.
- Provide funds to enhance the experience of our players by adding additional training equipment, adding soccer specific branding to our locker room and soccer stadium, and purchasing appropriate weather related gear.
- Allow our coaching staff to identify and recruit high-level student-athletes.
- Establishing a financial foundation within our program to support a Division III student-athletic experience that matches Hanover College’s world class liberal arts education.

As we approach midnight on the inaugural Athletics Day of Giving, we are so incredibly pleased to announce the Hanover community has helped Panther Athletics to surpass any and all initial goals set for the campaign!!!
At 10:00 PM EST the campaign was sitting at 607 donors and over $217,000! The support from the Hanover community is truly amazing!
Don't worry if you haven't had the chance to make your gift yet, the deadline for gift inclusion for Athletics Day of Giving has been extended until 2/28/2023 at 11:59 PM EST.

Our original goal of 150 donors was met on February 16th, at this time we set a secondary goal of an ADDITIONAL 100 donors and that goal of 250 donors was met on February 21st! Now that we have met and exceeded both goals, we are setting a third, NEW, goal!
Help us reach 325 donors by the end of the day on February 23rd for our inaugural Athletics Day of Giving Campaign at Hanover College!

We originally set the Athletics Day of Giving donor goal at 150 based on previous campaigns and their inaugural year turnout, and we are happy to announce, on February 16th we met that goal! Now that we have surpassed 150 donors, we are setting a NEW goal!

An anonymous donor has generously offered to match, dollar for dollar, all gifts up to $100,000.
This fund will live in perpetuity at Hanover and will be part of the legacy at the College of all who support it. The name "Win for 10" honors #10 Lexi Riggles '22, who passed away unexpectedly during her senior year. It is also the team's pre-game chant and inspires them to leave it all on the court for Lexi.
