Padnos College of Engineering

The Seymour & Esther Padnos College of Engineering offers undergraduate programs in engineering and occupational safety and health management.

Consider making a gift to the Engineering Student Competition Fund, which provides resources for student clubs and organizations in the College of Engineering, helping them design, build, and compete against top schools across the country.

Last year, our students excelled in three major competitions.

• 🚀 The ASME student group traveled to NASA in Houston for the Micro-g NExT competition, where they were the only team to functionally deploy their flagpole during the allotted time and also won the STEM Outreach Award.
• ⚔️ The Casting Club traveled to Milwaukee for the Cast in Steel competition where they came in third place overall for their Halligan Bar.
• 🏎️ The Laker Racing team traveled to Michigan International Speedway and competed in the Formula SAE competition against teams from across the world.

Matching gifts:

• 🎁 Thanks to a generous gift from Dean Adebyo Ogundipe and Associate Dean Tim Born, $1 will be matched for every $1 donated to the Engineering Student Competition Fund, up to $2,000.
• 💙 Dave and Susan Huizen will match $1 for every $1 donated to the Dr. Eric L. Van Fleet Occupational Safety and Health Endowed Scholarship, up to $500.
• 🏎️ Nicholas '18 and Elaine Baine '18 will match $1 for every $1 donated to the Engineering Formula SAE Gift Fund, up to $200.
• 🎉 Samhita Rhodes will match $1 for every $1 donated to the Seymour & Esther Padnos Engineering Scholarship, up to $200.
