About

The Health Outreach for Youth and Adults (HOYA) Clinic is managed by students of the Georgetown University School of Medicine with direct oversight from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital faculty and professional administration. The clinic seeks to decrease health disparities and improve health equity by providing care to DC's under-served families. HOYA Clinic recently opened the doors of its new location at the Triumph, a Community of Hope temporary housing facility in Southeast Washington.

This year we are again raising funds to purchase gifts from wish lists collected directly from the children we serve. Our goal this holiday season is to touch as many hearts as we can by purchasing at least one toy from each child’s list. The only way this is possible is through your generous support.

All donations will be used to purchase toys from the children's wish lists. On December 4th, medical student volunteers will host a day of arts, crafts, and other activities and present each child with their wrapped, personalized gift.

Your donations will not only put a smile on a child’s face, but it will give them memories they can cherish for years to come. Every child should have something exciting to look forward to during the holidays.

Thank you for helping a child's wish come true!

Please contact Sarah Trent (smt104@georgetown.edu) and Ben Hack (bh654@georgetown.edu) with any questions.

THANK YOU for your incredible generosity and support. You made many smiles possible this holiday.

Here are a few scenes from one of our parties where children received their toys and enjoyed holiday fun and a visit from Santa.
