About

As part of a recent grant award from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks Affiliate in Douglas County, Drury has committed to raising additional funds to support scholarships for students at the Ava campus for Drury GO evening students and in support of dual-enrollment* and training programs. All money raised will stay in the Ava community and help both non-traditional students and high-school students through their college journey as well as provide free career development to members of the community. This is a great way to support the Ava area community and a great opportunity for Drury evening and online alumni to make an impact and help other evening and online students.

HomePride Bank is our lead sponsor for this campaign and has issued a special matching opportunity with our other community sponsors.

Your gift will help us get all the matching funds offered by our sponsors that will:

  • Provide scholarships for Ava High School students pursuing dual enrollment courses through Drury GO (formerly known as Drury CCPS).
  • Provide tuition assistance for deserving students to pursue professional enrichment programs to fill workforce needs in the community.
  • Provide free virtual training to the community on job seeking, resume-building, and how to thrive in this challenging economy.

All donors will get a set of Drury keyboard decals, but for qualifying gifts (1 pair with $100 gift, 2 pairs for $200), we are sending donors the new limited edition Drury logo dress socks as a thank you gift and to show everyone you support Drury! Quantities are limited, so don’t delay!

Help us spread the word. Use the sharing buttons below the video to email your friends and share on social media. Be sure to TAG your Drury friends on Facebook!

If you have any questions about the campaign or socks, please email mearl@drury.edu.

Special thanks to Lead Sponsor HomePride Bank and Contributing Sponsors Great Southern Bank - Ava and Town & Country Bank!

*Dual enrollment courses are among the most affordable ways for students to earn college credit and they are proven to promote college degree attainment. Eighty-eight percent of students who take dual enrollment courses in high school go on to attend college by the age of 20 (National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, 2017).

Drury dual enrollment courses are offered at Ava High School for just $70 per credit hour. Despite their affordability, the cost can be insurmountable for some students. In conversation with the Ava superintendent and high school principal, it has been determined that modest scholarships would help bridge the gap and make dual enrollment possible for more students.
