What better way to celebrate the season of giving than with a gift to Drury? Join us in making your gift to Drury and DU it for the students - DU it for the socks! As a thank you for making your gift and helping us "kick off" this special season of giving, we have a special gift for donors supporting the Annual Drury Experience Fund and unrestricted fund (area of greatest need).

All donors will get a Drury keyboard decals, but for qualifying* gifts, we are sending donors the new limited edition Drury logo dress socks as a thank you gift and to show everyone you support Drury! Drury Socks - Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I get socks?

• Make a qualifying* gift to the Annual Drury Experience Fund or unrestricted fund (area of greatest need)! Leadership Society donors making qualifying* gifts will receive two pairs of socks in addition to the recognition at the appropriate Leadership Society. Donors making a qualifying* gift of $200 or more will receive two pairs of socks, and those giving $100 will receive one pair. While the minimum gift is $100, please remember that all funds benefit Drury students and your gift is important!

What is a qualifying* gift?

• *A qualifying gift is a gift to the Annual Drury Experience Fund or unrestricted fund (area of greatest need) of a minimum of $100. Donors of $100 will receive one pair and donors of $200 or more will receive two pairs. If another donor has issued a matching gift, it will not impact your qualifying* gift amount. The sock incentive is based on your gift amount.

What if I want to make payments? What if I already made a gift and want to increase it so I can get the socks?

• As long as you have made qualifying* gifts that total $100 or more after June 1, 2020 and on or before December 31, 2020, you will receive the appropriate number of socks. For example, if you gave $50 in June and give another $50 now, you will get socks. You may make your gift over the phone, through the mail or online. You may write a check, use a credit card or even make a gift of appreciated stock (please call us if you want to make a stock transfer).

I would like to get more socks. Who can I contact?

• Right now we are limiting socks to two pairs per household, but if you need additional socks, please contact Melanie Earl at (417) 873-7444 or mearl@drury.edu. If you claim more socks through incentives during the campaign, you will still need to contact Melanie.

I just mailed in my gift/made a gift over the phone and didn’t know about the socks. Can I still get them?

• Yes! If you made a qualifying* gift to the Annual Drury Experience Fund or unrestricted of $100 or more since June 1, 2020 you will be on the list.

What size and materials are the socks?

• The socks are unisex and fit most sizes. They are dress style, thinner socks and similar to the very popular “crazy” socks.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

• Yes, using IRS guidelines, the sock value is below the threshold. Your gift is tax-deductible, but you may always consult a tax professional.
