'90 Get On The Bus

Welcome to Maize and Blue Daize — the countdown to our 35th Reunion has officially begun! Have you registered yet?

In the spirit of Paul Wellstone’s inspiring words, “We all do better when we all do better,” and with the support of a generous group of 1990 classmates, we’re launching this Maize and Blue Daize campaign with an exciting challenge: unlocking $35,000 in matching funds!

Our goal is simple — rally at least 90 gifts of $35 or more. Every gift moves us closer to unlocking key milestones:

• Every 10 gifts of $35+ unlocks $2,500 in matching funds for the first 60 gifts.
• 70 gifts unlock an additional $5,000.
• 80 gifts unlock another $5,000.
• 90 gifts unlock the final $10,000 — reaching our full $35,000 match!

Thanks to artist Amy Rice, we’re honored to feature her powerful image of the Wellstone “green bus” — a symbol of collective action and community. A heartfelt thank you to the 120 classmates already on board. They’ve gotten us to $70,729 toward our $175K class goal so far this fiscal year.

Rooted in Wellstone’s belief and strengthened by our Carleton connection, this campaign reminds us: we rise together. There are moments where we give more and moments where we lean on others, but on this bus, every seat is the same size. It’s about showing up — for each other, for Carleton, and for the journey we continue together.
