Maize & Blue Daize is an annual opportunity for alumni to show Carleton pride, (re)connect with fellow Carls, give thanks for Carleton experiences, and support current students!
During Maize & Blue Daize, gifts to the Alumni Annual Fund will be matched!
- Alumni gifts received online, by phone, or by mail by April 7 are eligible to be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $1,000) while challenge funds are available (matching pool = $200,000).
- Gifts sent by mail must arrive by April 7 to count for the match.
- New recurring gifts (monthly or yearly) are eligible for matching funds, but installments of previously established recurring gifts that process from April 4–7 will not unlock challenge funds.
- If you wish to make a non-cash gift, please contact the Alumni Annual Fund Office at aaf@carleton.edu to ensure it's counted for the match.

Thank you to the entire Carleton community of donors and volunteers who made Carleton’s fourth-annual Maize & Blue Daize 2025 possible. Together, 1,660+ alumni, families, faculty, staff, and friends of the College raised more than $1.1 million in unrestricted funding for the campus community.
Gifts during Maize & Blue Daize alone could provide the equivalent of the following…
- 11 financial aid packages; PLUS
- 13 curricular innovation grants for faculty; PLUS
- 500 new books and 200 new eBooks for Gould Library
- A year of multifaith programs, services, and groups sponsored by the Office of the Chaplain; PLUS
- 1,500 (free) appointments at Student Health and Counseling; PLUS
- 30 Convocation speakers; PLUS
- Travel for 22 sport club teams to practices and competitions, PLUS
- New recovery equipment for student athletes, including 7 zero-gravity chairs and 7 pairs of compression sleeves.
Thank you for being part of the community that is Behind Every Carl. We’re already looking forward to next year!

That’s a wrap on Carleton’s fourth-annual Maize & Blue Daize!
Thank you for helping us hail the maize and blue this week with your generosity. We’re grateful for everyone who volunteered, gave back, attended in-person and virtual events, sent Virtual Friday Flowers, and took the time to reconnect with fellow Carls near and far. Maize & Blue Daize is a true demonstration of the strength of the Carleton network worldwide.
Stay tuned as we tabulate final results over the next few days—these numbers aren't final yet!

The dollar for dollar matching pool has been depleted, but recurring gifts still unlock $100 each. Consider just $5 per month. For less than the cost of a latte each month, you could provide the equivalent of two new books for the Student Health and Counseling resource center!

Coffee with Carls on Saturday April 5 was a big success! More than 675 members of the Carleton community registered for 57 events around the globe to spend time with other Carls. A big shoutout to our hosts for organizing these gatherings.
Did you snap a photo at Coffee with Carls? Upload it to our Coffee with Carls album. Or, post it on social media with and tag @CarletonCollege.
The cost of a latte goes further than you might think—especially during Maize & Blue Daize. Set up a $5 recurring gift by April 7 and you'll unlock an extra $100!

Were your Knights teammates and coaches a core part of your community at Carleton? Honor them with a gift to the Carleton Athletic Initiative this Maize & Blue Daize!
