The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (CSBS) will be opening a Student Success Center. The purpose of the CSBS Student Success Center is to provide holistic support services to aid a student’s university experience and promote student success.
The CSBS Student Success Center will provide the following services:
- Academic planning
- Basic career exploration and development
- Major program exploration
- Facilitates connection to CSBS department chairs/faculty
- Internship coordination
- Assistance with the identification of research opportunities
- Referrals to campus resources to support academic success
- College workshops promoting Professional development and wellness
- Peer mentoring
- Showcases and communicates college activities, projects, and events to the CSBS community.
The CSBS Student Success Center will directly serve and provide holistic support and opportunities for educational and professional development for approximately 5,000 students enrolled in academic programs in the College. We are asking for your generous donations to support the creation of grants that will support student community engagement, research, and study abroad activities. Additional funds will be used to support CSBS Student Success Center programming, which includes workshops and talks delivered by invited speakers aimed at supporting the graduate school and career readiness and fostering personal growth and learning.
