50th Reunion Scarf Memento-- Order Yours Today!

Have you seen our Scarf?

Created to honor the Bryn Mawr Class of 1976, this original silk scarf is a both a work of craftsmanship and a visual narrative.  Each lantern - adorned with the college's beloved owl - has been carefully illustrated and arranged to reflect the arc of a lifetime.  At either end, the lanterns stand in quiet order, symbolizing the confidence and promise with which we begin our journeys.  Toward the center, they drift into gentle disarray, echoing the complexity, challenge, and unexpected turns that shape our lives.  Yet, as the pattern resolves once more, it reminds us that Bryn Mawr women land on their feet - resilient, illuminated, and enduring.

The scarf's subtle background draws inspirations from the historic ceiling of the old college library, lending depth and a sense of shared heritage.  Soft washes of navy and Lantern's Glow pay trubute to Bryn Mawr's colors, understated yet unmistakable.

Designed with intention and woven with meaning, this scarf celebrates not only where you began, but the strength and wisdom gathered along the way.

Created for the 50th Reunion Celebration of the Class of 1976 by Hilarie Johnston and Seth Dubrosky.

Fabric: 100% silk

Order from the Bryn Mawr College Bookshop.

April Email

Dear Friends,

Reunion is only a few weeks away! Registration will close on Monday, May 11 – don’t delay and register today. We look forward to seeing all of you who are able to attend. While onsite registration will be available during the weekend, on-campus housing cannot be added past May 11. As you prepare for the weekend, the best place to get up to date information continues to be the Reunion website . There is a direct link to information about the Class of 1976 at: https://www.givecampus.com/schools/BrynMawrCollege/reunion-2026/pages/1976#updates. Also, keep an eye on your email in the weeks leading up to Reunion for valuable things you need to know about arriving to campus, including the location of our class dorm and other class updates. The Reunion website will also contain upcoming information regarding events we may attend jointly with Haverford. There will be a joint reunion event at Founders Hall on Saturday night, May 30, starting at 8 pm to which all members of both classes of 1976 and their guests are cordially invited.

Hilarie Johnston has worked with the BMC Bookshop to create a wonderful silk scarf memento. It can be purchased directly from the BMC Bookshop here.

If you haven’t made a gift, we are almost to our donor goal! Any amount will count for class participation, a metric that helps Bryn Mawr in many ways such as student financial aid. For information on ways to make your gift, visit the Ways of Giving section of the College’s website or visit our GiveCampus page.

But, most importantly, we hope all who are able can attend the celebration of who we are and what we have accomplished and survived in the last fifty years. We are the class of 1976! We have earned the opportunity to honor what we have achieved. We can’t wait to see you on campus next month for Reunion.

See you on campus on Friday, May 29! Marilyn Singer, 216-224-8334 Pat DeFusco, 860-810-7858

Zoom Happy Hour on February 24, 2026, at 7:30 pm EST

We are pleased to invite you to join us for another Class of 1976 Zoom Happy Hour on February 24, 2026, at 7:30 pm EST.  We look forward to seeing you on that virtual platform and we hope to see you all in person at Bryn Mawr, May 29-31, 2026 for our 50th Reunion.

When we began our Zoom events, we asked people to think back to the spring of 1972 when we were waiting to receive our college acceptance letters and share your memories of that time. These calls have evolved into conversations and reconnections that are the subjects of reflection and many smiles. The spring of 1976 was one where we were looking ahead to a world outside the collegiate gothic walls of Bryn Mawr. The country was celebrating a birthday, and we were leaving our own nest. The spring of 2026 is the approach to another national milestone and our opportunity to return to that nest for a little while.

Please join us in community on February 24 at 7:30 pm EST. The link to join is: https://brynmawredu.zoom.us/j/6099044791?pwd=aDRmL2cyQlVZb1E0Q3dqeFV1bFZrdz09. Please feel free to share this invitation with others who might not be on the mailing list of the Alumnae Association.

We hope to see you in February (and in May).
