About the College of Arts and Sciences
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is App State’s largest college — housing 17 academic departments, two centers, and one residential college, spanning the humanities and the social, mathematical, and natural sciences. As we are largely responsible for Appalachian’s general education curriculum, we serve as the foundational experience for all App State students on their various academic journeys. If you are a graduate of App State, you likely passed through CAS on your way to achieving your degree.
During Giving Day, we're focusing on four priority areas:
💛 Student and Faculty Excellence Fund
💛 Center for Appalachian Studies
💛 Center for Judaic, Holocaust, and Peace Studies
