Help local children build strong reading skills while giving AU education students hands-on tutoring experience!
Thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., we recently opened a new on-site reading clinic, offering online and in-person reading support to the local Anderson community.
AU teacher candidates have the unique opportunity to tutor students between their classes with minimal disruption to their schedules. We are currently serving elementary schools in Anderson, Alexandria, and Indianapolis. Parents from the community also bring their children directly to the clinic. By the end of the academic year, AU is projected to train 34 tutors, serve 60 students, and complete more than 1,300 tutoring sessions.

And that’s where we need your support. Your gift directly impacts children in Central Indiana while allowing AU students to gain hands-on experience. Every $600 raised provides an entire semester of tutoring for a child in need.
