Join the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) as we support our student-athletes competing for all 27 of our varsity teams during Hoos Giving, a 37-hour giving “day” from 9 a.m. September 21 through 10 p.m. September 22.
These 37 hours serve as a time for our donors, fans, parents, student-athletes, staff, and friends to join us in celebrating not only our 37 NCAA team National Championships but each and every one of our programs that finds success both on and off the fields of play.
A gift of any amount, to any designation, counts towards Hoos Giving. Some choose to give to a sport that shaped their own UVA experience and others choose to give unrestricted, allowing us the opportunity to put the gift where the greatest need is. Virginia Athletics funding priorities include scholarship endowment (invested funds that provide ongoing scholarship resources), supporting a program's most critical operational needs through sport enhancement funds, and current-use scholarship support via the Annual Fund/Friends Of.

Scholarships Change Lives. Our student-athletes are not only the recipients of the outstanding education they receive from UVA, but also ambassadors for Virginia Athletics. They represent the University through their achievements on the field and in the classroom, their engagement with the Charlottesville community, and their continued growth through professional development and leadership opportunities during and beyond their time at Virginia.
