What is the purpose of Hoos Giving 2026? 

This campaign was created to provide financial resources to the Virginia Athletics Department and our 27 varsity teams.

How will my gift be used? 

Sport Enhancement Funds provide the opportunity to directly support the sport program(s) meaningful to you by providing critical resources that enhance each program's operating budget. While every program functions within a base budget, there are strategic priorities that often require additional investment, including team travel, recruiting, strength and conditioning, nutrition, player development, scheduling, coaching staff retention, technology, and specialized equipment.

Contributions to the Annual Fund will be used to provide unrestricted current-use scholarship resources. Donors who wish to support a specific sport have the option to designate their gift to that team’s Friends Of program. The Friends Of program serves as a critical component in meeting the scholarship costs for specific sports within the athletics department.
