The challenges: 500 donors in 24 hours. Multiply your generosity with additional 1:1 matches and a first-ever challenge for financial aid.
The impact: Thanks to the generosity of our challenge donors, who are parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends, we will unlock an additional $200,000 (and counting!) for the Annual Fund today.
2026 Giving Challenges:
500 Donor Challenge to unlock $100,000 for the Annual Fund. Every gift, no matter the size, counts towards this overall goal.

Kick-off Matching Gift Challenge: Three alumni from the classes of '07, '09, and '11 will match all donations dollar for dollar up to $30,000! Double your gift, and also have it count towards the total gift goal of 500 donations in 24 hours.
Financial Aid Challenge: School Committee member and alum John P. Relman ’75 and alum Ari Weinstein ’12, along with an anonymous alum, have generously pledged $53,000 in support of General Scholarship at GFS. This challenge will be unlocked when 100 donors make an Annual Fund gift of any size designated to General Scholarship.
Faculty and Staff Challenge: For the first 100 gifts made by a faculty or staff member, Sandy Baur Bixby '72 with her partner Bill, joined by Katherine '06, Kelly Ann '02, and Rebecca '99 will give $25 per donation (up to $2,500). That means your gift of $10 could have a direct and immediate impact of $35, and so on!
Grandparent Challenge: Calling all grandparents! Gifts made today from current and former grandparents will be matched 100%--up to $15,000. This challenge is made possible by an anonymous grandparent alum.
Alumni Decades Challenge: A friendly competition amongst decades of GFS alumni. Which decade will have the most donors? Stay tuned!

Giving to GFS is as easy as 1-2-3! Take a peek inside one of our PreK classrooms during “Snack Shop,” an interactive lesson that teaches counting and math skills. The Annual Fund supports immersive educational experiences like these across the whole school.
