About

We're celebrating Service and Sustainability this 4/7 day! Join us in supporting two of the most important places on campus to ensure a greener tomorrow: the Farm and Sustainability Office at Pomona College.

The Farm
at Pomona College is a student-run growing space that encourages students to connect with their food sources and learn about sustainable agriculture. Through hands-on experience, they provide educational opportunities that allow students to practice sustainable farming and gardening practices.

The Sustainability Office engages the student body through events, campaigns, and initiatives to highlight the importance of climate action and equity and empower students to foster these practices in their lives. The Sustainability Office is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the college through initiatives that reduce waste, conserve water and energy, and promote sustainable practices:

  • EcoReps- EcoReps serve the Pomona College community as a student-run sustainability hub. They aim to promote sustainable practices on campus by connecting students to information, resources, funding, and the Pomona College administration. EcoReps believe that everyone has something unique to contribute to the conversation and that environmentalism requires a community-based culture of awareness, care, and engagement.
  • Green Bikes- The Green Bike Program is a student-run bicycle shop that seeks to encourage bicycle usage among students to support a sustainable and healthy lifestyle through the use of eco-friendly transportation. Green Bikes maintains a rental fleet of over 200 bicycles which are available to students in need at no cost, increasing access to surrounding resources.
  • Carbon Neutrality- Pomona College has a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Reducing the College’s carbon footprint involves using energy resources more efficiently, producing renewable energy on campus, and increasing low-emission transportation choices.

Help support a greener Pomona by donating to the Sustainability Office or the Farm before Earth Day (April 22)! With your help, we can reach our goal of 147 donors. Every donation counts!
