The challenge is on for Youngstown State Men's Basketball, and we need YOU to help us reach our fundraising goals.

Penguin Day of Giving is our 24-hour challenge to rally support for our team and help our Penguins reach their full potential.

Your generosity during Penguin Day helps us fund:

  • Recruiting & Retention – Provide the resources and experiences that help YSU attract talented student-athletes and retain them throughout their careers as Penguins.
  • Nutrition – Enhance fueling and recovery resources to support student-athlete health, training and performance.
  • Team Gear – Provide the apparel, footwear and equipment our players need to train, travel and proudly represent YSU.
  • Team Travel – Support travel opportunities that allow our Penguins to compete at a high level throughout the season.
  • Player Performance – Invest in training, development and performance resources that help each student-athlete maximize their potential on and off the court.

Every gift directly fuels the work that happens on and off the court: daily practices, strength and conditioning, skill development and the focus and teamwork required to compete every day. Sports Performance Department

Support YSU Sports Performance This Penguin Day!

We're excited to highlight YSU Sports Performance as another important area you can support during Penguin Day!

Led by Mary Beth George, Associate Athletic Director for Sports Performance, the department plays a vital role in preparing student-athletes across all YSU athletic programs to train and compete at the highest level.

Donations to Sports Performance will help replace aging equipment, upgrade technology and provide new training resources that directly benefit our student-athletes.
