The Yale Legal Aid Association would greatly appreciate any donations for our club activities. As of now, our club needs money for its volunteer groups, LSAT library, and speaker event series.
The main function of our club is to have our members volunteer with affiliated non-profit legal aid organizations with over 30 volunteer projects this semester! Our club is currently the largest community service organization on campus. YULAA provides an unique opportunity for service-minded Yale students to directly engage with the legal system as undergraduates before they pursue graduate degrees or enter the workforce.
Through your donations, we can ensure that our volunteer groups are adequately funded to help the greater New Haven community and do actual legal work, including translating legal documents, writing affidavits for asylum-seekers, and assisting with pardon applications. We also have a number of speaker and career events of a wide variety of topics within legal aid.
Our goal is to fully accommodate our members of the largest pre-law undergraduate organization on campus and and to provide free LSAT study materials to those interested in pursuing a law degree to help promote social justice causes. Your donations will help increase the number of lawyers in legal aid!
