Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic

The Peter Gruber Rule of Law Clinic was recently reactivated after a period of dormancy in response to the desire of Yale Law School students to aid in defending the rule of law in the current political climate. Founded in 2016 by professor Michael Wishnie ’87 LAW ’93 and former Yale Law School Dean Harold Hongju Koh, the clinic focuses on maintaining the U.S. rule of law and human rights commitments in four areas: national security, anti-discrimination (especially against religious and ethnic groups); climate change (maintaining U.S. commitments under the Paris Climate Agreement); and democracy promotion (voting rights, redistricting). Projects include litigation, policy advocacy, and strategic planning matters.
