About

The Second Annual Driveway 5K event is designed to promote physical wellness while practicing social distancing and encourage our community to move and to raise funds for Wright State's Student Emergency Fund. The fund will be used to provide financial assistance to our students who are facing critical needs.

April 24 is significant as it is the weekend leading into finals week and we want to encourage our students to be healthy while studying and preparing for finals. Taking this opportunity to get outside, take in some fresh air and get their body moving. This also allows our greater community to show their Raider spirit and support by wearing our green and gold, and sharing our virtual Driveway 5K experience with others through social media.

How to participate in our Driveway 5k:

  1. Donate at least $5 and run, walk, bike, paddle, wheel, or move your body anyway to complete a 5k on April 24. After you complete your 5k, share a photo of yourself and/or share your recorded route to @WrightStRec on Instagram & Twitter, or Wright State Campus Recreation on Facebook.
  2. Donate in support of a registered participant *Be sure to write in who you are supporting in the “Supporting” block in your donation
  3. Donate directly in support of our overall campaign

Wright State Campus Recreation will provide prizes for the following categories:

  • Most creative course
    • Voted on social media after the event
    • Such as around a living room, backyard, or of course a person's driveway
  • Shortest distance course
    • A 10-foot circle in the living room or driveway
