About

On Monday, May 27, our home of Dayton and our Lake Campus, Celina, Ohio, fell in the path of recent catastrophic storms sweeping the Midwest and was devastated by multiple tornadoes.

The tornadoes caused irreparable damage to many homes and businesses in the area and have left many across Dayton and Celina, including many members of our Wright State family, without shelter, water and power. The Wright State Disaster Relief Fund helps meet the needs of these affected students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

This fund will provide one-time reimbursable funds to Wright State students, faculty, staff, and alumni in the Dayton and Celina areas who need disaster relief, such as food, water, clothing, housing, etc.

By reducing these financial burdens, we seek to provide peace and relief to our Wright State family during this difficult time. Seeing the destruction in Dayton and the surrounding Raider and Laker Country is devastating, but with your help we can rebuild. Let your Raider family know you are there for them by giving today.

Disaster Relief Application

I am truly thankful to God that my family and friends in Trotwood and Dayton survived the tornadoes that hit the Miami Valley area. Their homes and personal property were destroyed, but no major injuries. Growing up in Dayton, I was told that if just one tornado hit us in the valley it would be catastrophic with a high fatality rate. I am truly grateful that this was not the case! I personally know several alumni affected. Please join me and donate to the Wright State Disaster Relief Fund to help our Raider Family. #DaytonStrong #TrotwoodStrong #CelinaStrong #RaiderStrong

THANK you to those who have donated to the Wright State Disaster Relief Fund. We've received $11,000+ in 24 hours. If you haven't contributed yet or can share this post, please do. Many applications from faculty/staff, students, and alumni have said they are homeless and without food/water. More than half of them are students, we have reviewed and awarded support to 11 applicants thus far, with applications still pouring in.

Any amount helps! Give at the link below or at wright.edu/give/Disaster2019.

“As a Dayton native, I am simply heartbroken and devastated over the recent storms and tornadoes which have heavily impacted the Miami Valley.  I’ve talked with many of our local and national alumni about how they can help, and today I’m asking our entire Raider family to donate to Wright State Disaster Relief Fund to help our Raider students, faculty, staff and alumni affected by these terrible storms”
