Become an Advocate  Four Simple Steps to Become a OneWoodberry 2021 Advocate through GiveCampus.  We have partnered with GiveCampus, a social fundraising platform that allows users to create a profile and track their impact through the course of the campaign.

It’s easy. Here are four simple steps:

1.     Go to the "Advocates" tab at the top of this page.
2.     Create an account either by linking to your Facebook account or your email. You may have a sign on from last year.
3.     Now that you’ve logged in to GiveCampus, go to the OneWoodberry 2021 Campaign. GiveCampus provides buttons which allow you to conveniently share the campaign link in a tweet, text, or email to your classmates.
4.     Your GiveCampus account will show you how classmates, parents and all others respond to your messages. You’ll be able to view how many times classmates clicked on the campaign from your posts, as well as identify the number of donors and dollars generated from your messages.

Create a Matching Gift or Gift Challenge! Here’s How: Advocates can further motivate their classmates and other parents by creating a matching gift or gift challenge. To create one, go to the OneWoodberry 2021 campaign page and click on the ‘offer a matching gift’ or ‘offer a challenge’ button on the left side of the screen below the campaign video. Please note this campaign will not be available until March 4th.

Matching gifts are made on a per donor or per dollar basis (e.g. I will match up to $500 on a dollar-for-dollar basis for the next $500 that is donated -or- I will match $20 per donor in my class). Gift challenges are milestone-based (e.g. if 100 people make a donation, I will give $250). We recommend you keep your matches and challenges simple and attainable.

A Heartfelt Thank You for a Wonderful OneWoodberry

Thank you to Tigers everywhere for an incredible OneWoodberry! We’ve received more than 3,600 gifts for the Amici Fund, including more than 1,500 in the past 24 hours.

This is a wonderful show of support for the school and the values of intellectual thoroughness and moral integrity that serve as the pillars of a Woodberry education. We’ve received more than 300 current parent gifts, 350 gifts from the parents of alumni, and even 50 gifts from grandparents. There were also more than 3,000 alumni gifts, a reminder that boys at Woodberry today benefit from a Tiger brotherhood that stretches from the third formers in the class of 2024 all the way back to our oldest living alumnus, a member of the class of 1934.

Early in the afternoon, we reached 3,000 gifts and unlocked more than $500,000 in challenge gifts from a group of 50 parents and alumni. We also met a late-evening challenge by receiving an additional 250 gifts from alumni who graduated in the classes of 2000 to 2020, resulting in a special challenge gift of $25,000.

Though classes of all ages enjoyed phenomenal days, special shoutouts are in order to the class of 2017, which had by far its biggest day of participation ever and logged approximately 90 gifts, and from members of the class of 2020, who reached 71 gifts in their first year as alumni.

We will take the next several days to double check all of the gifts and finalize our numbers before announcing which alumni class overall and in each decade had the most donors, which had the highest participation rate, and which had the most dollars raised.

Above all, thank you. We are tremendously grateful to every single person who’s made a gift as part of OneWoodberry and are concluding this year’s event certain in our knowledge that Woodberry Forest School enjoys a higher level of support from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends than any other independent school, college, or university in the country.

Challenge set, challenge met. What's next?

We just passed the 3,000 gift mark and will now receive more than $500,000 in challenge gifts from a group of almost fifty alumni and parents. We’re humbled that so many Woodberry alumni and parents, joined today by many students, faculty, staff, and friends have made a gift in support of this school.

We are a community built on enduring values, and the incredible loyalty of everyone who makes a gift year after year, but especially this year, gives us the financial resources needed to offer the boys here today the best possible education and experience.

Woodberry helps boys become the best version of themselves, and part of that is learning how to push on in the face of a challenge, whether that’s a difficult practice or a late-night study session. Having met our challenge goal together, let’s push on strong to midnight in our quest to make this the largest and most successful OneWoodberry in our history.

Subject: 2,500 Gifts. Time Left to Make an Impact!

We have surpassed 2,500 gifts, unlocking another $125,000 in challenge gifts!  Thanks to all of the challenge donors and the 2,500 alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends who helped us reach this important milestone.

Listed above is the wonderful group of challenge donors, led by Bill Caler ’63.  Half of their generous gifts have been unlocked.  Now it’s time for us to push on to 3,000 donors for $250,000 more!

Thank you!

$125,000 of Challenge Gifts Donated!

We passed 2,000 gifts and $2,000,000 already. Achieving our first goal of 2,000 donors has allowed $125,000 of challenge donor gifts to be released. Passing these milestones this quickly is a glowing example of how much we all love Woodberry. Let's ride this momentum into tomorrow and make this the best OneWoodberry we've ever had!
