Everybody Eats: A WSU Food Equity Campaign
We are raising funds to help ensure that no member of the WSU campus goes hungry and to bridge economic, social, and cultural divides around the one subject we are all a part of: food. If you eat, you are in! Help us reach our goal of $3,000 and help ensure that on the WSU campus, everybody eats. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes to support one of three student-led food equity projects on campus.
This year, WSU students, with the enthusiastic support of faculty and staff partners and advisors, have launched three new food equity initiatives where all of us can make a difference for our WSU Community: The Warrior Cupboard, the WSU SEED Garden, and the WSU Seed Bank and Library. These programs are aimed at bringing individuals from different backgrounds together, as well as establishing strong partnerships in the community. Growing food, providing supplemental nutrition assistance, and inspiring education and exchange helps build a just, equitable, and healthy community.
Join us in supporting the Warrior Cupboard, WSU SEED Garden, and WSU Seed Bank and Library. Your generous support will provide the tools, supplies, and other resources these programs need to thrive and grow. Thank you so much for supporting our students and helping them help others!
Warrior Cupboard
The Warrior Cupboard is an on-campus food shelf for-students, by-students. The goal is make sure that students have access to quality food on a regular basis through supplemental nutrition assistance. Students who use the Warrior Cupboard can remain anonymous and their privacy is protected by a discreet entry to the food shelf and a take-what-you-need honor system.
WSU SEED Garden
The Winona State University SEED (Sustainable, Edible, Education, Discovery) Garden is intended to give WSU students more access to locally-grown food and provide donations to local organizations and the Warrior Cupboard. The goal of the SEED Garden is to educate students on how to grow and maintain a garden using sustainable methods, while also educating them on nutrition and healthy habits.
WSU Seed Bank & Library
The WSU Seed Bank and Library strives to educate, exchange, and preserve seeds for the Winona community, inspiring awareness and action on food equity, insecurity, and biodiversity. The Seed Bank and Library has three main areas of focus: education (workshops and other forums), exchange (seed library), and preservation (seed bank).

Thank you for your support of our Food Equity Projects! These student initiatives bring individuals from different backgrounds together and establish strong community partnerships. Growing food, providing supplemental nutrition assistance, and inspiring education and exchange help to build a just, equitable, and healthy community. Your gifts will provide the tools, supplies, and other resources these programs need to thrive.
Thanks, again, for supporting our students and helping them help others!
