Brave-a-thon

Recently the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education highlighted WP Radio and TV stations for their long list of accomplishments: https://njsecretaryhighereduca... This continues the spread of state, national, and international recognition for WPSC and WPTV-6!

In just a few days, the 2017 graduating class will celebrate their Commencement.  Congratulations to all DJ's, Hosts, Writers, Producers, and all others who will graduate and move on to the start of their careers!

The graduation also means Brave-a-thon fundraising is reaching its last few days.  Please continue to invite alumni, friends, and family to join you in supporting our students.  Your outreach and passion for these programs is what makes the difference!

As students wrap up their last week of classes and sign off from their shows until next year (or in the May 2017 graduates case, until alumni takeover weekend) our fundraising for the San Antonio trip continues!

We've already received nearly a thousand dollars in support of the students of WPTV-6 and WPSC Brave New Radio!  Your donations will further strengthen the already renowned Communications group of #TeamHobart.  Watch the video of alum (and now WPSC Station Manager) Sebastian Escobar to see exactly the type of student you're helping.

Please continue to share this important campaign.  Together we can get these amazing students to the National Student Electronic Media Convention in San Antonio!

Thank you to everyone who turned out and tuned in for the live music of Brave-a-thon 2017!  As shown in the behind the scenes video below, even WPTV-6 studio manager Al Clarke was rocking through his cues.

Though the live performances have wrapped, our fundraising for the WPTV and WPSC student trip to the National Student Electronic Media Convention has not!  On behalf of the students of these programs, thank you to everyone who contributed to the campaign already.  With 24 days remaining to reach our goal we can definitely still use your help.

Here are some ways you can further promote Brave-a-thon in the advocates tab of this page:

• Create a personal plea video to share (MUCH more direct and impactful!)
• Share the campaign on Facebook and Twitter
• Share with LinkedIn, email, or event TEXT with the Copy Link to Share button (your campaign looks very nice as an iMessage)
• Make an additional gift to start a MATCH to encourage others
