The Bodies Politic: Sex, Power, the Digital, and the Marginalized in 21st Century United States

"The Bodies Politic" is a research project which will examine the various complex interactions between sex and identity, focusing on the ways sex manifests as a mechanism for control by privileged individuals and a method of resistance (or assimilation) for the marginalized. “The Bodies Politic” will comprise not only a formal research paper but also an ethnographic component that will record the experiences of individuals with sex (as oral histories, interviews, or surveys).
