Title: Meta-analysis on the effect of environmental mercury on songbirds
Department: Biology
Description: There are many published papers that study the effects of mercury on the growth, development and death of songbirds, but science is often imprecise and inexact--the real world is messy. This aim of this project is to extract the relevant data to more accurately estimate the uncertainty and true effects on the vitality of songbirds in polluted conditions. Ideally this becomes a paper that can be cited in environmental legislation and go on to slow and/or stop the harm methylmercury causes.
