Your support will help Wheaton meet today's needs while focusing on tomorrow's possibilities.
The impact of your donation through the Wheaton Fund provides immediate bottom-line funding for every academic department and administrative office at Wheaton. The Wheaton Fund is a right-now fund—and your participation will continue the legacy of our founder and original benefactor, Eliza B. Wheaton, who has inspired countless generations to embrace our motto, "That they may have life, and may have it abundantly."
Now through December 31, your Wheaton Fund gift or pledge will be matched by six generous community members
who have joined together to create a $500,000 Wheaton Fund challenge—the Abundantly Wheaton Challenge.

Professor Hilary Gaudet ’09 is part of a tradition of excellence in Wheaton's Department of Chemistry that can be traced back to beloved Professor Bojan Jennings, who served as a mentor to Hilary's mentor, Professor Elita Pasta-Landis—Wheaton Class of 1969—when she was an undergraduate.
"While I was completing my biochemistry honors thesis as a Wheaton undergraduate, I worked closely with my advisor, Professor Elita Pastra-Landis '69. She remained a mentor throughout my graduate studies at Brown University. When I had an opportunity to teach at Wheaton—first as a lab instructor while still working on my Ph.D., then as a visiting professor, and now as a full-time assistant professor—I knew that I wanted to do for my students what Elita has done for me. In 2016, I served as an advisor for Sara Morrow '16 as she worked on her honors thesis and received an American Cancer Society Fuller Fellowship, an award that I also won when I was a Wheaton student. And last school year, while I was on sabbatical and conducting research at Brown, Carina Sclafani ’20 joined me to work on her honors thesis. We were both visiting scholars at Brown." —Professor Hilary Gaudet ’09

Mentorship plays a big part in the effort to building strong cohorts and preparing students to take on leadership roles. Wheaton faculty are invested in the success of their students, helping them be awarded grants, get into top graduate programs, and pursue satisfying careers.
