Open more doors for future Leathernecks.

Your support helps Western Illinois University expand its reach to prospective students and families through strategic, high-impact recruitment marketing led by University Communications & Marketing.

Funding supports expanded digital advertising efforts, including paid social media campaigns, geo-targeted outreach in key recruitment markets, streaming and connected TV ads, and retargeting students who engage with WIU academic programs. These efforts increase inquiries, campus visits, applications, and ultimately the number of students choosing WIU.

The fund also strengthens recruitment efforts across campus by providing academic departments with recruitment swag and event support, helping faculty and staff more effectively engage prospective students with consistent, brand-aligned materials.

In addition, support enables targeted expansion into new and emerging markets beyond traditional pipelines, helping WIU reach more students in areas where we have untapped potential.
